Project Purple, Day 10

It’s amazing to me how many different kind of seizures there are and how VERY different they look to the unsuspecting eye.  The Grand Mal type seizure is probably most recognizable and associated with epilepsy, but I have to admit I was so frustrated watching my husband’s “absence” type seizures and seeing how unknowing bystanders would react.  Most people thought he was “spacing out” or stalling.  I even had a nurse question me when I told her it was a seizure once.

It’s a perfect example of how quick judgements are really never a good idea.  Insert compassion, kindness,  understanding and Epilepsy awareness instead!
