Project Purple, Day 14

I am trying to imagine a time when having a seizure could bring you persecution even greater than imaginable. I am very much aware of the judgements that are passed, the misconceptions that perpetuate, the fear of the unknown or misunderstood. But I am beyond thankful for Hippocrates and those who followed him in educating the world about epilepsy. We have indeed come far from the days of seizures as “curses from the gods,” but I believe we have more educating to do (hence my “Project Purple”). Let’s keep moving forward…
